OUR SECONDARY (IRRIGATION) PRESSURIZED SYSTEM
Our irrigation pressurized system was installed in 2001, and now serves over 1000 homes in the district. Our system is unique because it is metered just like the culinary water, and each property is billed during the summer months for the amount of irrigation water it uses. The entire system is drained and shut down during the winter months.
The irrigation meters are the property of the District, however, it is the responsibility of homeowner to care and maintain the area around the meter boxes. The boxes need to be kept unobstructed by debris, do not cover the boxes with landscape bark, plant shrubs or trees around the boxes. These areas need to be clear so that emergency responders and the District personnel can get to these areas quickly in case of emergencies.
Utah is the second driest state in the nation, it is really important to learn to use and conserve the water we have wisely. Over 60% of water use is dedicated to lawn maintenance and yard care and half of that water runs off as waste. Your sprinkler systems and watering habits should be checked each year, in the spring, to make sure it is in good working order.
NO WATERING BETWEEN 10:00 AM AND 6:00 PM
DO NOT USE CULINARY WATER FOR OUTSIDE PURPOSES
Wolf Creek Water and Sewer Improvement District is asking our customers to be more responsible and conserve our precious water before it’s gone.
